Native to most of temperate North America east of the Rocky Mountains, the Grey Catbird is named for its cat-like call. They are relatives of mockingbirds and thrashers, and share their extraordinary vocal abilities. The Grey Catbird is able to make two sounds at the same time which might include an imitation of several species during a long, seemingly improvised series of notes.
Beautifully crafted one at a time. Every step of the carving and painting process is done by hand with great attention to detail and as a finishing touch a French paste wax is buffed into the finish until a rich luster is obtained.
